The Venetian Gondola ride
One of my friend from Jaipur visited me last month and told me about this famous boat ride named “Gondola ride”. It is available in “The Grand mall of Venice” in Greater Noida. Yeah! you heard me right…boating in a shopping mall. I was stunned to tune in about this unique concept of boating in a mall…Hats off to Indian creativity. She not only told me about this but took me along as well for a ride. The mall is half an hour run from my place and it was raining heavily that day but we were so amped up for it that nothing could stop us.
This Mall is a masterpiece, build on the theme of Venice, Italy. The first thing that took my attention in the mall was its beautiful architecture. The exterior, the fine atrium and the spiral staircases winding down from the topmost floor add on to its beauty. Every wall and design has given so much detail that it truly gives you a vibe of Venice. It feels like the Venetian city is transplanted in India.
Can’t go to Venice, have the Indian version of Venice…
The gondola ride is the star attraction of this place and if you are going with your loved one, you got to try it. Usher in romance, the mesmerizing ride with two canals accompanied by the soft melodies of gondolier creates an otherworldly and romantic ambience. During the ride, he sang a well known Kishore Kumar song “Tere jaisa yaar Kahan, Kahan Aisa yaarana”, which made the experience a bit cheesy but wonderful. As you glide along, you get the chance to admire the beautiful replicas of Roman statues and Venetian buildings. The ride was very short from one end of the mall to another and back but 400 bucks per head are not bad for this amazing experience at least once.
